Corona virus: What should we do with shoes, clothes and underwear when we return home...

Coronavirus: How should those of us who return home, after leaving it, act in order to feel safe from the coronavirus?

THE Medical Association of Athens issued an announcement with 14 instructions on the prevention and protection measures that we must take against the coronavirus and among them there is one that concerns the way in which we must operate when we return to our home, after every long-hour outing...

And this measure has to do with clothes, underwear and shoes.

So according to the Medical Association of Athens "On returning home we disinfect our hands before entering with a disinfectant tissue or liquid disinfectant. We take off our shoes and underwear and put them on the balcony to air out, wash our hands and face and change underwear. The clothes are left to air for at least half an hour. The same process is repeated every time you leave the house."

What are the remaining 14 ISA guidelines against the coronavirus:

1. In every business there should be a disinfectant package at the entrance.

2. Every person moving out of the house must bring disinfectant or disinfectant wipes with them. Discarded waste containers, disinfecting wipes, used by the patient should have an inner plastic bag with an integrated drawstring closure.

3. The waiting area (living room) must be disinfected (floor, chairs, tables) before opening or after the end of the previous use. Magazines and advertising brochures should not be on the tables at this time.

4. If it has a potable water supply package, use plastic cups in a case and not in bulk.

5. If the visit to the office is made by telephone appointment, it is good to inform the client that if he has a cough, he should not come or if it is absolutely necessary to come with a mask.

6. We greet with a touch of the elbows and keep a distance of two meters from our interlocutor.

7. We wash our hands after using the toilet and when we touch unclean objects.

8. When traveling by public transportation, we disinfect our hands after disembarking. If the bus has many passengers, we avoid the passenger's face by turning our face sideways to the left or right. As soon as we arrive at work, we wash our hands or disinfect them.

9. If we use our own vehicle for transportation but it is also used by other people, we should disinfect the door handles, the steering wheel and the speed and handbrake levers with a disinfectant wipe.

10. In financial transactions we use the card which we disinfect after using it and not coins.

12. We don't go to the gym and other closed events or meetings. If we have a cough, we don't go to the doctor without a mask. We should not be exposed to cold environment.

13. Open the door with the toe of your shoe or your elbow, if the door has a handle with your hand, and after entering the room, disinfect your hands with disinfectant or a disinfectant wipe. We do not touch catalogs or advertising forms

14. If your partner has flu symptoms you should both wear a mask. Those who take care of him will wear a mask and gloves and the mask will be replaced every three hours by the gloves immediately after the end of the care. Ventilate the room often, give him fluids avoiding sour, salty and sweet foods. If you don't have disinfectant or tissues, wash your hands with soap.
