How often should you change your bath sponge?

You have your bath sponge and you've been holding onto it for a long time. In fact, many of you insist on using the same sponge until it is completely dissolved. In fact, you do not hesitate to allow your partner to use the same sponge, believing that since it is used with soap and water, it is always clean. Huge mistake.

The humidity that prevails in the bathroom, combined with all the dead skin cells that collect on the sponge, facilitate the growth of microorganisms and fungi.
According to a study previously published in the Journal of Clinical Microbiology, sponges harbor various types of bacteria, which multiply at a rapid rate. If there are wounds on the body, such as small cuts from shaving, bacteria can easily get under the skin and cause irritation and infection.
To extend the life of the sponge, be sure to leave the sponge somewhere in the bathroom that does not have a lot of moisture, such as next to a window.
If you notice signs of mold or the sponge smells strange, throw it away immediately.
