Orange peel: 2 clever ways to use it as a beauty product

The peel of the orange has a wonderful aroma, but practically its uses in our daily life are extremely limited. Maybe you use some orange zest to flavor your cakes, but can you imagine where else the peel could be used for? And yet, orange peel, thanks to its nourishing oils, can be used as a homemade "beauty product"!

  • Teeth whitening
You can rub the inside of the orange peel on the teeth to give them a whiter color. The white part of the orange peel contains D-limonene, an ingredient that acts as a solvent against tooth stains. Because orange peel is not as acidic as the fruit itself, it does not damage tooth enamel.
  • Shiny skin
If your skin is "dull" and dry, you can give it a little extra glow with the help of orange peel. Apply the peels on the face for a few minutes or add the orange peel to a homemade face mask to restore your skin's lost glow.
