This is the fertility diet

It is about a diet which is almost 30 years old but remains useful and helpful.
Every year, there is a ranking of the world's most popular diets, from best to worst. Some of them focus on weight loss, heart health or an overall balanced lifestyle. But there is also a nutritional plan that has a much more specific purpose and entered the 11th place on the list. It is designed to help women conceive. It is a diet that is almost 30 years old but remains useful and helpful.

When it started, the researchers followed nearly 18,000 women for eight years, noting who conceived and how often they ate certain foods and drank certain beverages. What they discovered is that the same things recommended to prevent cardiovascular disease are also recommended for a woman who wants to become more fertile. A diet rich in good fats, whole grains, and plant-based protein can improve fertility, glucose regulation, and insulin levels. In contrast, red meat, processed carbohydrates and soft drinks cause the opposite effect.

Folic acid included in leafy green vegetables, fruits and nuts is an essential ingredient for a woman who wants to get pregnant and during pregnancy. Obviously this diet doesn't guarantee fertility either, but research has shown that these steps help conditions like polycystic ovaries, polyps, and endometriosis.

What about dairy?

Initial research had shown that women who consumed high-fat milk, cheese and yogurt had a higher chance of normal conception than those who preferred low-fat. But this goes against the recommended diet for good cardiovascular health. Researchers suspect that high fats trigger the production of insulin, which is associated with ovulation and fertility.

Should we follow this diet?

Although it is tailored to improve fertility, you will experience weight loss as long as you follow the directions carefully and exercise regularly.
