These are the foods we choose for hydration and a faster tan

By consuming the foods that hydrate the skin, protect it and enhance the tan you will be delighted.
But most of you don't know what they are.
In this article you will learn everything so that instead of sunbathing which is quite dangerous for the skin you will get beautiful golden skin in different ways that you did not know until now.
In the summer our body, which is 50-75% composed of water, has increased hydration needs. Large amounts of water and electrolytes are lost through sweat and the need to replenish moisture is imperative.
Never forget that everything starts with hydration. So, in addition to water that we should drink, the foods that can help with our hydration are the following:
Vegetables
Cucumber and Zucchini: They are considered one of the most "hydrating" vegetables, since their water content reaches 95%. Cucumber also contains vitamin C and caffeic acid, which help relieve skin irritation and swelling. Zucchini are a good source of folate, potassium and vitamins A and C, while one serving has less than 30 calories.

Summer fruits
Watermelon and cantaloupe: Watermelon, according to a study by the Medical School of the University of Aberdeen in Great Britain, is among the foods that can hydrate the human body better than water. Contains 92% of water and salts necessary for hydration (calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium). Melon is also rich in water (90%). It contains a large amount of vitamin A and few calories (one cup of melon has only 56 calories).

Peach, nectarine and kiwi: Peach and nectarine are among the most water-rich fruits, as they consist of 89% of water. They contain vitamins C and E, antioxidants, dietary fiber, carotenoids and flavonoids and are therefore considered valuable for the health and beauty of the skin. Kiwifruit has 20% more vitamin C content than an orange. A large kiwi has about 60 calories.

Exotic fruit
Pineapple and Mango: Pineapple is a juicy fruit, rich in vitamin C and the anti-inflammatory bromelain. Mangoes are a good source of vitamin A, B6, and C, as well as dietary fiber. Hydrates the body with few calories (a medium mango has 135 calories).

The antioxidant bombs

Blueberries: They contain a large percentage of water, are rich in antioxidants that are considered to protect the heart, vision and cells from the action of harmful free radicals.

Grapes, strawberries, raspberries and tomatoes: They owe their red color to the antioxidant polyphenols they contain. They contain ellagic acid, a powerful antioxidant that appears to prevent many types of cancer, including skin cancer. Red grapes, in addition to containing water, are rich in the antioxidant resveratrol. The strawberry contains 92% of water, while the tomato consists of 95% of water and is rich in the antioxidant lycopene, which has the property of destroying free radicals.
If you want to combine hydration and slimming
Grapefruit and Pear: These two fruits are an excellent ally for those who want to lose weight. Grapefruit nutrients are believed to lower insulin levels and help regulate appetite. Pear helps to maintain the feeling of satiety for a longer period of time.

Green superfoods
Celery and lettuce: Celery has a high water content (96%), while it is rich in minerals, amino acids and vitamins, which research shows hydrate the body twice as much as a glass of water. Lettuce, both plain and curly, has slightly less water than the iceberg variety, but contains three times the amount of folate, six times the vitamin C and 8 times the beta-carotene.

The benefactor of beauty
Yogurt: Depending on its type, it contains water in a percentage of 85-88%, as well as potassium, sodium, calcium, vitamin B12, riboflavin. It helps the body to replenish the lost electrolytes and thus recover its lost energy.

FOODS FOR TANNING

Melanin is a very important pigment for skin health, as it protects it from the harmful effects of solar radiation. Its production increases with exposure to the sun, however in recent years it has been found that nutrition also enhances its action. Substances that help the production of melanin are carotenoids, B vitamins, selenium, copper and flavonoids.
In order to tan more easily, we choose to eat the following:

Carrots: Due to their water (87%) and β-carotene content, carrots are an ideal food both for skin hydration and for achieving an even tan. Their ingredients have also been found to have anti-cancer effects on the skin.
Apricot: They are rich in beta-carotene and lycopene. They help both in enhancing tanning and in antioxidant protection of the body and skin.
Colorful peppers: They have 92% water content and are rich in vitamin C, thiamin, vitamin B6, beta-carotene and folate.
Dark green vegetables: Broccoli, spinach and asparagus are the main vegetables that help in the production of melanin.
Foods that contain copper such as oysters, shellfish (liver) and mushrooms: Although the body needs it in small amounts, copper is an essential ingredient for tanning, as it contributes to the production of melanin and elastin (skin protein).
Legumes, nuts and sesame seeds: Dry beans, almonds and peanuts are foods that boost melanin production in the body. The substance that gives them this property is tyrosine, which we can also find in sesame.

For the best absorption of β-carotene by the body, it is advisable to accompany food, especially vegetables, with olive oil. It is also recommended to consume fruits and vegetables fresh, because beta-carotene is sensitive and is lost when food is stored for a long time or when it is subjected to extensive processing.
